Methods: A systematic search was conducted using PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar. Keywords included "testosterone therapy," "androgens," "testosterone replacement," and related terms. Articles were screened for relevance to the latest developments, with emphasis on clinical trials, review articles, and meta-analyses published in the last five years.
Results: The review identifies four major areas of concentration: (1) cut-off or threshold for normal testosterone range; (2) prevention and remission of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM); (3) duration of treatment; and (4) prostate health and cancer.
